Thanks to everyone who participated in Solarize the Triangle in 2016: 379 Triangle residents signed up for a free solar assessment and 27 of those signed installation contracts totaling 144 kilowatts of clean solar power. That’s enough power to save the burning of 79 tons of coal every year.
Solarize the Triangle 2016 was sponsored by two local nonprofits: NC WARN and NextClimate. Those groups and others have installed over 2.5 megawatts of clean, sustainable solar power around North Carolina since 2013 (details here).
