On January 16th, 2011 Dr. John Blackburn died unexpectedly but quietly in his home.
He has been a wonderful friend and colleague – our volunteer technical advisor for over five years – and all of us at NC WARN already miss him dearly.
At our annual meeting in December, we presented John with a special award for his dedicated and extraordinary service toward a clean-energy future and a better world.
Our hearts go out to his wife Jeanne and the rest of Dr. Blackburn’s family.
