DR. HANSEN’S FIVE POINT PLAN FOR
THE GLOBAL
WARMING CRISIS:

“This is not a gloom-and-doom story,” says Dr. Hansen, who calls for the following:

1) a moratorium on new coal-fired power plants – by far, the most important thing to do

2) a price on CO2 emissions, and investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy

3) national energy-efficiency standards

4) a study of ice sheet stability by a panel of our best scientists

5) effective campaign finance reform, to diminish special interests’ influence on policy-makers.
